application ?

i want to send an email via my bsp application. In the sample "BSPTUTORIALMAIL" of the package SBSP_DOCU, they use :

call method application->send

exporting mail_address = mail_address

changing messages = page->messages .

But in my bsp page, if i wrote this peace of code, it says :

The field "APPLICATION" is unknow but there is a field with the similar name "_M_APPLICATION". Someone knows why i can't acces APPLICATION ?

    The "application" is only available if you created one. Double click on the root node of the tree on the left (the BSP application node), and then look at the properties tab on the right. Somewhere there is a field name for application. Here you can enter the name of a class that belongs to you, which will be the application object. This application object is then available in all pages, and can be used to store most of your data over pages (assuming stateful).
