I had post a query on how to setup connection with legacy R3 4.6c serval days ago, but no one reply.

Now i am eager to know the possiblity for WAS 640 playing a role to old ITS in order to let users browse R3 via web.

Thanks and thanks for any reply

Hi Dali

I also heard some time back that WAS6.4 will replace ITS. But i could not find any such information in documentation.

Anybody knows about it?

Yes. WAS 640 claims replacment of ITS. I also read few info from this forum postings.

I have tested some default sample code of WAS 640, did you test them successfully?

How to evaluate WAS according to your plan?

Hi Naresh,

I would not say that SAP Web AS 6.40 replaces ITS, but

it now comes with a integrated ITS functionality which comprises SAP GUI for HTML and Web Transactions (IAC). You will not be able to run any Flow Logic, WebReporting or WebRFC applications with this new integrated ITS. For these types of applications you still have to use a standalone ITS (which will therefore be long-term supported as well).

Furthermore, SAP GUI for HTML and ITS services of the integrated ITS can only be used with applications that run directly on the SAP Web AS 6.40. That means, you can't use SAP Web AS 6.40 with Integrated ITS against R/3 Enterprise 4.7.

More information can be found at the Web site http://service.sap.com/sap-its.

Hope this helps,

Antje
