Hi All,
Is it possible to trigger a new release strategy when a PO is changed in ME22N?
For ex
When PO value < 5000 INR , only buyer B1 releases after the PO is created , if the same PO is changed in ME22N and the PO value is raised to 5500 INR , then new strategy should be triggered then the release is as follows,
B1 - Buyer - First release
M1- Manager - Second release
V1 - VP - Final release
Please let me know how to achieve this in SAP
Thanks
Benny
Hi,
Cretae two separate release strategies for <5000 and > 5000.
Rel strategy 01 < 5000 = B1
Rel Strategy 02 > 5000 = B1 + M1 + V1

Hi,
Keep two values in the value characteristics
<= 5000.00 INR & >5000.00 INR
& add value characteristics with other characteristics in release class
Create Release Group & three release codes {B1 - Buyer, M1- Manager & V1 - VP)
Keep changiability indicator 4 or 6 in designing release indicator
Create two strategies T1 & T2
AND
Keep value <= 5000.00 INR with release code B1 u2013 Buyer in strategies T1
&
Keep value >5000.00 INR with release codes B1 - Buyer, M1- Manager & V1 - VP in strategies T2
Now create PO(ME21N) or change PO(ME22N), based on value the release strategy will trigger.

Hi Benny,
As Bijay said, you have to follow 4 steps:
1- Value/Price must be a characteristic in classification (CEKKO-GNETW). If not, you have to add it.
2 - Create to separate release strategy:
A - One <= 50.000 with just B1 release code
B - two > 50.000 with B1; M1; VP or M1; VP or VP, as you prefer.
3 - If you dont have created release code, you have to do it: SPRO - Material management - Purchasing - Purchase order - Release procedur for purchase orders - Define release procedure for purchase orders - Create release code.
4 - It is very important set release indicator 4 or 6. The difference between 4 and 6 is:
4: It will retrigger a new release strategy in case there is a value change.
6: It will retrigger a new release strategy in case there is a value change. But this has an additional condition. If the PO has been outputted (printed), you can still retrigger.
So as an example, if you have set 4 in your release indicator, and you are trying to change value for a PO that has been outputted, it will NOT retrigger.
Hope it helps.

Enzo

Hi Bijay,
We have the following release strategies in our system
S1 - LT or EQ 5000 - Release code - B1 Buyer
S2 - GT 5000 LT 100000 - Release code - B1 Buyer + P2 Manager
S3- GT 100000 - Release code - B1 Buyer + P2 Manager + V1 VP
The scenario is like this , i am creating a PO for <=5000 and saving it ,then release strategy S1 gets triggered. The PO is released by B1 Buyer , In the same PO after released in ME22N if i change value to 5050 , i dont want release strategy S2 to be triggered , but want strategy S3 to be triggered.
In a simple manner , my client wants release to get triggered to S3 even for small amount change.
