hierarchy object as Navigational attribute

I have a query if an hierarchy object can be a Navigational attribute to an infoobject. I see in a query I am working on using profit ctr hierarchy as a nav. attribute to the Cost centre filed.

Yes, Hierarchies may be actived on fields that are navigational attributes.
