Delete Material Codes of Exciseable Material

Hi Friends,

I have some material codes which were wrongly made & they have stock against them and also they are excisable.

I wanted to delete these materials as well as reduce the stock to zero, what is the right way to go about it so I can delete the material codes & the stock is also reduced.

Kindly also tell me whether accounting documents will be generated.

And how to take care of the excise credit entries taken in RG23 registers.

Cancel material document using MIGO.This will zero stock

Post excise invoice using J1IEX,Cancel excise invoice using J1IEX.This will nullify RG23 registers.

Block p.o,put deletion flag for material using MM06.

Hello Jeyakanthan,

The number of material codes to be deleted are more in numbers (approx 4-5000), so can you suggest some method which is not lengthy but effective
