shelf life in MM

For maintaining shelf life - is it required that batch management has to be maintained for my materials in the material master.

This is a manufacturing plant.

Pls suggest.

Hi,

You can maintain the filed Total shelf life in marerial master irrespectice of material being batch managed or nor,

BUT for making it work you need to have batch management activated for material, a material can't have a shelf life its alwats for a definate mass or a batch,

In material master the value stated is the standard shelf life of material batch
