SLD availability during CIM /CR_Content update

Greetings,

I would like to know what is the impact (if any) on end-users when the CIM model and/or the CR Content of an SLD is updated to the latest version as per note 669669.

We want to update the content of our central SLD located on SAP PI 7.0 HA server. Therefore, we needto assess the impact this operation can have on PI processes and Java Webdynpro applications (are JCo RFC destinations available during the process? are Business Systems also available?)

Hi,

Its recommended no activities be carried out while updating SLD. The JCos and the Business systems will be available but since the SLD content is getting updated, its best to wait till it finishes. In any case, the update will not take long.

Hello

I would recommend you perform this action when the SLD is not in use.

Runtime of the update depends on which version you are coming from, how performant the SAP system is and so on.

It can take a long time if you need to process several updates to get on the latest level.
