Hello All,
We have connected all our satellite systems to central SLD and are forwarding the SLD data to solman local SLD using SLD bridge.Landscape Fetch job fetched the system details to SMSY successfully and defined the systems under product systems in landscape components. But we have a strange situation.
1.same system is defined under various products systems
Ex: A BI system BI7 is defined under SAP AUTO-ID INFRASTRUCTURE, SAP BOBJ SPEDN PERF MGMT,SAP
CPROJECT SUITE , SAP CRM, SAP E RECRUTING, SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE, SAP EVENT MANAGEMENT, SAP
NETWEAVER...etc
I manually flagged SAP Netweaver --> Business intelligence as relevant for BI7 and saved, now i manually tried to delete this BI7 from other product systems(SAP AUTO-ID INFRASTRUCTURE, SAP BOBJ SPEDN PERF MGMT...etc), but its getting deleted from all the product systems (in landscape components)
i have checked in SLD(the origin of the BI7 data), it has only the below as installed products, not sure why the system is defined in many places in SMSY. this is teh same case with many systems
BI CONT 7.04 5
PI_BASIS 7.01 5
SAP ABA 7.01 5
SAP BASIS 7.01 5
SAP BW 7.01 5
2.Relevant instance is not flagged for any system in SMSY
if anyone has a solution , please guide.
Rgds,
Anand
Hi Anand,
The issue seems to be due to the fact that multiple "Active Product Versions" might be selected for your system in SMSY.
Goto SMSY, open the system under Product Systems, navigate to Header Data -> Active Product Versions.
Here select the one which is relevant. After doing this the system would automatically be removed from the Product system for non-selected product versions.
The original issue is due to the still ongoing problems of accomodating SMSY data from the SLD. The Landscape Verification wizard is a tool which helps correct these inconsistencies via more user friendly screen.

Hi,
It is OK that new systems in smsy are attached to more system components. At first mark one as leading product version (SMSY - landscape components - Systems - System ID - Header data). Maybe SAP Netweaver as product and SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0.
You can also add additional installed products. Save 🐵
After that you can mark the relevant main instances.
best regards,
Martin
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the response that was helpful
Solution:
Perform the activity manually; Execute SMSYLandscape componentsProduct systemsSAP NetweaverBI7hearer dataclick on change product Assignmentselect the relevant active product (SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0) and remove all othersGoto product instance selectionselect the relevant instance-Save it
Now you can delete from other products
Hi
Please check your SMSY_SETUP > Expert Settings are empty.. these should be empty..otherwise this lead the confusion to the LANDSCAPE_FETCH job...
check and update.
