I have issues using BI Launchpad and CMC on IE11 and BI 4.2 sp2

I know the PAR says BI 4.2 fully supports IE 11. However I have issues using IE 11:

1) In Bi Launchpad, I am unable to expand "Public Folders" - all I get are the circular arrows next to the Public Folders icon.

2) in CMC, I am unable to display the list of users under "Users and Groups". When I click on User List, nothing happens.

We have been using Chrome instead, but it's frustrating since IE 11 is supported. Also I have not found reports of similar issues anywhere. Any suggestions?

Hi Ajay,

I have the similar issue whereby when I tried to access the BI Launchpad login web page, the area around the login columns appeared to be 'yellow' in color instead of the normal 'white or blank' color.

What could be the reason for this?

I tried on two other laptop PCs to get the same BI Launchpad login web page popped up, the area looks 'white or blank' color.

Why is it like this? Any resolution?

There are many other factors that will effect the functions of IE 11, because it is integrated with the OS

  • Try removing all Proxy / FW settings within the browser
  • Have you tried updating your SUN JRE to ver 1.8 or better?
  • Have you tried changing your setting to HTML within BI LaunchPad preferences settings?
  • What Windows OS are you using ?
