Building a Customized Flex Datagrid as Xcelsius AddOn Using SDK

Hello,

I have never done any add on development for Xcelsius, I have used the examples and generated add on with the provided files on the SDK.

But, currently I am working on building an addon component for Xcelsius using the standard flex datagrid, I wanted to use MXML to build my components and leverage the design mode to avoid programming as much as I could, since I do not know enough about either Action Script or MXML.

Has anyone else worked on this, if so could you please provide me guidance on how to achieve this. Also, if you have a sample that you have developed and wouldn't mind sharing, it will be of immense help to me and it will help me understand the steps I need to go through to get my component built.

Hi,

Have you looked through the examples provided with the SDK documentation, the examples should be good enough to get you started.

You would need to know MXML or AS3 to build your custom component, there is no option to avoid it unless you can find a 3rd party vendor selling the component that you need.
