Problems starting WebDynpro Applications on some Browsers.

Hi all,

we have problems running WebDynpro applications on some

browsers. We generally use InternetExplorer >= 6.0 .

We have found out, that we have to add the servers IP-address to the "trusted sites" in the IE->Internetoptions->Security settings to get the WebDynpro application running in the affected browsers.

I think that another security configuration in these browsers could be to restictive for the CSF.

Is there anyone who has had similar problems?

Thanks - Thorsten

Hi,

You have such a problem because WD use Java Script framework which is not allowed by some of the security police settings. Some problem would be solved by Server Side Rendering which would be available in the future.

This issue was deeply discussed previously on this forum

so just search and you will find a lot of information about why when and where of this.

Best Regards,

Victor.

Bag my pardon, just a small correction.

The server side rendering is already available. It seems I didn't waked up yet.

Hi Victor,

you are right - the issue is because of the CSF. In former versions we used the "Userdate persistence". If you turned it off, it causes a JavaScript error. Also, we had releases where you had to activate ActiveX.

In newer versions this problem is solved and should not cause this error anymore.

Also, Server Side Rendering is available with Sneak Preview II but not fully implemented. So you will have differences between CSF and SSR. In future releases this will be solved as well.

Hope that helps!

Hi Karin,

before a Javascript error occurs in CSF , is there

a chance to know on the serverside whether the WebDynpro

application will start without a Javascript error

i.e. catching somewhere an exception??

Thanks - Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

That would be a magic world

No, unfortunately this is not possible.
