Sorting a display attribute

Hi,

Is there a way to sort a display attribute other than using a navigational attribute and VBA?.Thank you.

    Hi Ravi,

    In the workbook, right-click on the display attribute allows you to sort it in ascending or descending order.

    Thank you for responding.What i am looking for is the sort should happen dynamically.Is there any way?.Thanks.

    Note: Its a display attribute and it holds text data.

      Yes..there is a way.

      If you go to the query definition, right-click on the characteristic on which the attribute is based (i.e. the characteristic on which you select the attribute.

      Right-click on it and go to "properties". On the bottom of the screen, you will have a section called "sort order". Once you click on the check-box, the drop down box will be filled with he characterictic, as well as the attributes it has.

      From here you can select how you want it sorted.
