Is there a way to sort a display attribute other than using a navigational attribute and VBA?.Thank you.

Yes..there is a way.
If you go to the query definition, right-click on the characteristic on which the attribute is based (i.e. the characteristic on which you select the attribute.
Right-click on it and go to "properties". On the bottom of the screen, you will have a section called "sort order". Once you click on the check-box, the drop down box will be filled with he characterictic, as well as the attributes it has.
From here you can select how you want it sorted.

In the workbook, right-click on the display attribute allows you to sort it in ascending or descending order.
