We are using XI V2.0, and have some VERY complicated mappings created using GUI Mapping Tool. These mappings were created obviously using the functionality of this tool etc at the time of mapping development (including some documented and some undocumented bugs).
When we upgraded from SP3 to SP4, we found that upon re-compile, some of our mappings no longer worked.
After logging OSS Notes etc and long conversation with SAP XI Developers it appeared that the changes to our mappings were because there had been some "bug fixes" in SP4 which were not included in any documentation. As far as SAP Development were concerned at that time bug fixes did not need to be documented (!!!!!!!!!!!) which I found "unsettling".
We are currently going through upgrade to SP5......is anybody aware of any "undocumented features or bug-fixes" which have appeared in SP5 specifically to do with Mapping using GUI Tool (or indeed if anybody has upgraded to SP5 have you noticed any issues which it would be useful for me to know about?)
