Hello, experts,
it seems that something wrong with my SDM, i can not deploy my WEBDYNPRO project to local J2EE anymore.
in the SAPMMC console, the Icon for the local J2EE server is yellow, and in the J2EE view of dev studio, the SDM thread is red.
i tried many times to restart the whole j2ee server, but it does not help. deployment always failed.
(but those already deployed applicatons works properly)
could you please tell me how to solve this?

First of all: make your server run before traing to deploy. Therefore you should watch the logs of the server first. You can find it under: C:\usr\sap\C11\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\system
Check if there is any useful message there.

Benny
Hello,
the same happened to me, during install of the Adobe runtime for J2EE server the SDM stopped working and I cannot bring it back to life since then.
When I start my J2EE server, the SDM process is stopped with exitcode 8.
The first time we saw similar problems was when installing SP5 on the J2EE engine, but some retries and a restart of the installation helped.
The logs are of no help (they don't even have timestamps !), there must be another way to restart the SDM.
greetings
Walter
