Hello, Is it possible to install the J2EE engine after the WAS is setup and already running in production? We're running BW3.3C on Oracle.
All the installation guides I have found point to installing the J2EE engine while the WAS is being installed in the first place.
Thanks, Dylan
This is called the addin installation which is possible for 6.40. But I don't recommend doing this on a production machine, especially not if you did a product installation that did not give you a J2EE Engine .
Of course it could work making this up, but you do it on your own risk.
Regards,
Benny
Benny, Thank you.
The WAS 620 I have running came with the JAVA Engine. I was thinking of adding it as an add-in, but haven't yet tried it. Of course, I would give this a try in Dev and QA first, before production.
I was hoping to find someone that has actually done it though...
Thanks, Dylan
