Problem while hiding unnecessary blocks on selection screen

Hi

In my requirement, If user is selecting the required radio button, I am able to hide unnecessary blocks by putting required code in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUT PUT block.

But If I put some validations in the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN, hiding functionality gets failed and those validations get triggered .So Would you please help me on this.
