Multiprovider Identification

I am trying to create a MultiProvider over the two InfoProviders 0PS_C04 and 0CATS_C01. Based on empirical investigation of the data in the InfoProviders, the identification characteristics should be as follows: 0NETWORK on PS should match 0RECV_NETW on CATS, and 0ACTIVITY on PS should match 0R_ACTIVITY on CATS. When I press the Identification Button, BW only proposes the first match. How can I get 0ACTIVITY and 0R_ACTIVITY to be matching identification characteristics in the MultiProvider??

Hi,

I assume this is how you want to see in the Multi Provider. You would like to see 0NETWORK/0RECV_NETW in the same column depending on whether the record is coming from PS or CATS. similarly for 0ACTIVITY/0R_ACTIVITY.

If this is how you want to see it, then there is a way to do it at the expense of some clarity in the multiProvider.

Lets say that you would want to show only 0NETWORK in the MultiProvider (But for CATS records this is populated with 0RECV_NETW and for PS records this is populated with 0NETRWORK.)

Then you can do this with the use of Virtual characteristic. You need to add user exit code in the ZXRSRU02 and ZXRSRZZZ programs. If this is how you want to see it, let me know and I can help you further.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

You can't do it with a Multiprovider.

To do it you must use Update Rule and a new ODS or Infocube, if you must use a multiprovider you can solve it during queries, but I suggest you to do a merge into UR.
