How to use Fault Messages when calling a BAPI?

It is common to integrate SAP components via BAPI (sync interfaces).

BAPI errors are usually reported via the abap RETURN table.

Anybody knows how to direct messages from the RETURN table to Fault Message Types instead of mapping them in the xxx Response Message Type?

    Hi Sergio,

this is not possible. You can wrap the BAPI with a PROXY or another RFC function, which translates the RETURN Table to fault messages or you have to check an the sending application the RETURN table for errors. The sender interface has to provide the chance to receive the RETURN table.
