Hello experts,

How to change base unit of measure? I created new meterial. there are no stocks are available for the material. there are no existing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, or scheduling agreements for the material.

But when I used T-code MM02 to change base unit of measure, it displays unit of measure PC used as alternative unit. I can't change it.

Could anyone please help me to look into this issue?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Pls check the following:

In the "pruchasing view" of the material master check the "ordering unit" and if anything mentioned there, pls remove the same.

Then once you go into MM02, very begining you can find a tab called "Additional data", click this tab and choose" Unit of measure" , pls remove any alternate unit of measure is maintained.

Then try for changin your unit of measure.

Still if you could not able to change, then the only option is go to MM17 and select that material alone and change the unit of measure using mass change.

If iam wrong pls correct me.

Thank u

Vijay

Dear Kelvin,

Kindly check the material master in Purchasing view, General data whether the order unit is maintained with PC as unit of measurement, incase yes remove the same and then try changing the base unit of measurement, you will be able to do the changes.

Check the following:

1) In mm02/mm03 in Additional data tab under Unit of measure whether PC is maintained in AUn.

2) In views like Sales org 1 (sales unit) / Purchasing (Order unit) / Work Scheduling (Unit of issue,Production unit) check the units maintained

Dear,

Please check your alternate base unit. You maintained alternative unit in Additional data ---> Unit of measure.

If you remove it. May be it will resolve.
