ESS - Personal Information - Address Data - Needs approval for updating

Hi All,

When employee uses Personal Information - Address service from ESS, Here when ever employee changes their address, it should trigger a workflow and only after the approval it should update the IT 0006..

But in portal I find that we can either give only view access or edit access and after changing the data it directly updates the IT 0006 in backend.

Can anyone help what's the solution. Will this be enhancement or can be done in a standard SAP way. In case of enhancement how it should be done. Technical details are much appreciated.

Pls share your inputs.

it has to be a enhancement there is no WF triggered when updating personal data

You need to explicit call a WF when updating, it will require some work,

or you can use processes and forms which is delivered as tsandard and can be used to trigger WF

Hi Vijay,

First of all get a clear information from the client and ask your ABAP to create a custom Web dyn Pro screen with the appriopraie fields, and an appriopriate workflow as per client's requirement.

Check the thread

In your scenario try calling the FM on Submit button Action.

It should commit only when it's approved. so that action part should be handled from Workflow I guess.
