Importance of BDLS transaction

Hi all,

We are on SRM 5.0 Sp13.

We have done the client copy from prod system to development system and facing errors related logical system now.We have copied all transaction and master data.

After the client copy on SRM system,do we need to run BDLS for logical system name changes? Is it mandatory?I had read that it is mandatory after system refresh but need correct info for client copy.

Also through BDLS,which settings have the correct logical system name?

Additionally, after client copy, which settings in SRM need the logical system netries to be maintained manually??

Please advise.

    Hi,

Yes please run BDLS after client copy. It is mandatory. Create a log system of your source system in your target system. Thus if your old LS (Source) = SRDCLNT100 and new LS (Target) = SRDCLNT200, then run BDLS in the target system(SRDCLNT200) as follows.

    BDLS--OLD LS = SRDCLNT100, NEW LS = SRDCLNT200.

    Regards,

    Nikhil

After the refresh you need to take care of Organisation structure attribute value Logical system. Indeed BDLS report may not help . You may need to change to current logical system

RHOMATTRIBUTES_REPLACE - this report can helps you to do it.

Has anybody run transaction BDLSS instead of BDLS for logicl system changes in SRM?

If so,please share your experiences.I just know that BDLSS is an enhanced version of BDLS but not sure when each one of should run and why?
