Synchronization is successful, but nothing is downloaded ?

Dear all,

When trying to load “SAP MAM application” in SAP Mobile Client I get “Synchronization successful” but unfortunately nothing is downloaded?

I assume that the application is well configure in the SAP ME Web Console, because after downloading the “MAM.war” file is the Web console a get status : “Deployment Activated “.

(I specified a deployment for all user’s mobile device rather than a Role Synchronization)

Is there any additional point to do on the WAS server in order to allowed the transfer of the MAM application ?

Or to your experience, is there any troubleshooting point to check?

Best regards.

Eric.

    Hi Eric,

Excuse my ignorance, but what is MAM? I have seen it mentioned in a couple of posts, but haven't figured it out.

    Regards,

    Martin

You will have to ensure that the configuration in the backend has been done succesfully. The application menu will only appear once the configuration has been deployed to the device.

    Hi Eric,

Are you able to resolve this issue?

I am facing the same issue for 'test' application. As per my understanding I have completed all required config as given in Guide.

Can you please explain the steps in case you have resolved the issue.

    Thanks and regards,

    _Sagar

Make sure the configuration on the R/3 back-end is correct. Especially look into the variants for object selection. Make sure these selections do not contradict; make sure functional locations used in orders/notifications are included in the general functional location/equipment variants, etc.

Variants in diferent area's (general vs order selection)of the configuration in the back-end are related when it comes to the selection of orders and notifications to be downloaded to the mobile device.

Furthermore the versions of all components in the back-end, middleware and front-end are critical success factors.

    Good luck,

    Hi,

First look on your ME Client if MAM is effectively downloaded to the client by checking the "Info" screen: This page lists all applications that are located on the ME Client (at least it should mention the ME Framework + MEPATCH evt.), and then MAM.

As I read from your message "Deployment Activated" (WebConsole) is not sufficient ... should be something like "... Deployed Successfully ...".

If the aforementioned preconditions are not met, you are not on the right track.

    Kind regards,

    Steph
