GRC CUP escalation for alternate approver

Hi,

In role import i defined approver/alternate approver and in stages i defined escalation for alternate approver and for stage i gave approver determinator as "role".when it escalte to alternate approver(alternate approver gets email to approve),but the big issue is any alternate approver can approve the whole request(for some roles alternate approver is different and for some roles only lead approver is defined and for some roles already lead approver approves).

Hi ,

In order to address this concern, open the stage in edit mode and make the approval level as Role instead of request.

I guess ur approval level is request at stage level. Also look into the option for any one or all approver setting at stage level.

Hi,

I already set stage for role_approver as approval level "Role" and i tried both options:Approval type: Any one approve or All approvers ,Forward type also : Any one approve or all approvers.Issue with alternate approver.If one of alternate approver of a role approves the request.It is approving the whole request.i gave escalation: forward to alternate approver.request wait time :1.

in role import excel sheet.I gave role approver syntax as : XYZ|ABC|Y to one role and MNO|KLM|Y,EFG|HIJ to another role.

Let say if XYZ,MNO,EFG Approvers cannot able to approve/reject the request.Request go for escalation to ABC & HIJ.As an alternate approver,when one alternate approver approves the request(On request page all roles are displayed with green,instead of approver assign to that role).The whole request got approved.Instead of one role.

And it's working fine with lead approver/primary approver to approve only those roles that are assigned to them.

Hi,

It will be a bug in this case as role level setting working for lead approver and not worling for alternate approver after escalation.

Please create a message with SAP support.
