CRM Interactive reports not returning any data

Hi Have followed guide C41 but when I run any of the reports I get no data whihc is disappointing.

E.g. Report - Accounts with open activities.

The selection screen Report Criteria has default of My Views which I can not clear. If I run report for large time span not data is returned. If I use the UI to search for activities I see all the CRM activities in our CRM system so I know we have created some.

Why is there no data being returned by this Interactive report ?

How do I check that the data source is active in CRM reporting client? What else can I check?

Is it possible to check the report without running it on web UI ?

Are there steps missing from the setup guide or do you need to follow another guide to get these reports to run ?
