Navigation behavior

Does anybody know how to change the appearance of the

portal navigation. We want only to navigation levels, but want to display them on the left without the top level navigation. Any hints?

Thank you for your help.

    Hi Torsten,

this is done adjusting the 'Number of Display Levels' Property of the Top-Level Navigation iView to 0. You will find this iView in the Content Administration under Portal Content/Content Provided by SAP/Admin Interfaces/Admin iView Templates

In addition to this, you will want to adjust the 'Start at Level' property of the Detail Navigation iView to 1 or 2, as you prefer. This will set from which tree height the Detail Navigation will start to display.

If you need to adjust this only for a special group of users, you will need to copy these two iViews beforehand, adjust the values in the copied iViews and

-create a new Framework page, copying the 'Default Framework Page' (Portal Content/Content Provided by SAP/End User Content/Standard Portal Users,

    - replace the Top-Level iView and the Detail Navigation iView by your copied ones.

    - copy the Default Portal Desktop and replace the Default Framework Page by your page

    - create a new Portal Display Rule for the special user group: System Administration->Portal Display ->Desktopy&Display Rules

choose an arbitrary folder, right click it and creat a new rule collection.

The then clause of your display rule should target your newly created Portal Desktop.

    Hope this helps 😊
