I have a very obscure problem that has been driving me crazy for the last few days.
On our intranet web server we have an asp.net application which is .NET 3.5 running the 2008 version of crystal web viewer. I am trying to deploy the new project that is written in .NET 4.0 and using the 2010 version of crystal.
Some reports crash IE upon requesting them a SECOND time. The first time they load up, they're fine, but if I change the parameter options and refresh it, IE goes into an unexpected exception with no error details.
This error only happens on IE 8 on Windows 7, and only with this new version of my project. Other browsers work fine.
I cannot replicate this error by running the reports or the project locally. It only happens when deployed to my server, which is Windows Server 2003.
The reports are connecting to an oracle database with an ODBC connection, though I'm not sure if that's relevant.
I cannot tell the whole business to just "use firefox" or something, so I'm stuck and unable to deploy the new project for now.
Has anyone experienced this?
I would really appreciate any advice.
