How to deploy and test AWT app without WebConsole on WAS

Hi Again,

I would like to deploy and test a simple AWT ME Application without having an ME server installation on a WAS with a working WebConsole.

Is it possible to package and deploy such an application straight to my ME Client for testing? (i.e. without deploying via WebConsole). I have been reading the documentation, but am unable to find anything like this relating specifically to AWT apps.

Thanks.

    Hi,

What is the point of testing you application without connection to the WAS -> Backend?

The 3 files in you folder C:\Program Files\SAPMobileEngine\data\<username>. The files are meant to speed up the start-up process and among others contain information from the listDef file. If these files do not exist then the new source files will be read instead and 3 new files based on the contents of the new source files. If you do not delete the 3 files then you cannot be sure that all your changes to the application will be active.

    Hi Christian,

That has answered my question. (Just wondering about deleting the files under your user folder though - surely this is only if you make a change to the manifest file?).

    Thanks,
