BAPI for operations user groups, authorizations and authorization profiles

Hi,

My R&D tells me that SAP does not expose any BAPIs or RFCs for management of <b>user groups, authorizations and authorization profiles</b>. Therefore, management of CRUD (<i>Create, Retrieve, Update and Delete</i>) operations on these will not be made possible using BAPIs/ RFCs.

It would be great if I could a recieve a confirmation on this and also a pointer to whether <i>customized programs written using ABAP</i> can actually do this job on a SAP system, which can be exposed for other 3rd party components that may integrate with SAP to use and operate on groups, authorizations, etc.
