Submit <report> exporting "DATA" (not LIST) to memory!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

Many a times we want to submit a 'XYZ' report and get the data back within another program , but to achieve this in the current situtation, one has to submit the report exporting the list to memory and then read the list and parse it (which is very very tough) to get a actual data from the report output.

I was wondering whether SAP could come out something like submit report exporting DATA to memory where just the resulting DATA are exported to memory. May be it can be in XML format.

I am planning to raise a request with SAP regarding this and before that i would like to get the forum members feedback on this idea and if people have other ideas, the same may be shared here and we could come out with a better proposal.

Regards

Raja

    Take a look at the documentation for the export/import statements.

    REPORT A.

    SUBMIT B AND RETURN ...
    IMPORT RESULTS_OF_B FROM MEMORY ID 'B'.

    ================

    REPORT B.

    ...
    EXPORT RESULTS_OF_B TO MEMORY ID 'B'.

    This export/import technique allows you to pass any variables (other than object references) from one internal mode to another. That is, for example, between programs called using SUBMIT.
