The only way to use webservices with XI 2.0 is via the SOAP adapter. The SOAP adapter runs within the adapter framework. The adapter framewok in turn is a Java program that needs to be installed and configured separately.

    Kind regards, Guy Crets

Thanks for the response. We have a situation where we need to make a synchronous call from front end application to backend 46c system (RFC). As XI is proposed middleware, we are planning to route these synchronous calls through XI as well. Currently these calls are executed via a web service created in .net framework and which directly invokes RFC.

We eventually wanted to route the calls through XI and clone the process done by .net on to our XI machine. So we would like to create a web service on XI machine which can be consume by front end applications... Is it feasible?
