Reports on planned values weekly and monthly

Hi,

I have certain requirement in reports. We create all the activities with certain amount of work and duration in a project. Then we schedule the whole project.

Now my requirement is , I have to get a report where in I can get weekly(current) and monthly (current)planning. I believe no standard report gives this output, if I want to develop how I would give the logic

By weekly & Monthly planning are you looking only at the cost?

If that is so, you can use logic of the Period break down option of CNS41 report.This option provides you the monthly report but in the cummulative fashion.You can chage the logic for discrete amount.

For weekly report you have to build a logic on the Scheduled dates as this Monthly report will be based on period values.

I am really sorry that I could n't provided much details in my previous post.

My requirement is only on planned work not on costs. For example, If I pull the report today, I need to show what are all the activities are planned this week, this month and how much work is planned.

Hi Laxmi Narasimha,

To understand the requirement better, when you say work, do you want this weekly and monthly analysis only for internal activities?

If your answer is Yes then You can use the same logic mentioned above for Work.When you use the Distibution Key as SAP050, you will get the periodwise distribution of work in CNS41.But this work will be cummulative , you can derive a similar logic for discrete work too.

For weekly work distribution, you have to use this monthly planned work in combination with scheduled dates to derive the weekly work.

You are correct. The analysis is only for internal activities.

I have checked CNS41 and able to see work on period wise for entire project. Is there any way we can filter standard reports on date range, for example, for weekly report of this week , I have to select dates from 20th Dec to 26th Dec.

I tried that in CN47N, but the problem is when I set up a filter for Start date as 20th Dec and Finish date as 26th Dec, it picks up activities with only these values that is as per your logic even if an activity starts on 21st dec and ends on 28th dec, it should be listed for your report but that does not happen here in standard report.

yeah, I tried CN47N earlier and got the same result. I was trying to build a logic from table AFVV. Comparing Sysdates with schedule dates but could n't succeed.

If some one suggests some alternate method, it would be really helpful to me
