Load Specific Page per URL

How is it possible to load a specific page of the portal

via the URL? The portal is normally invoked with the URL http://host:50000/irj/portal and opens the welcome page. Now we want to open a specific page called for example myWorkplace. Is it possible to open this page with an url like http://host:50000/irj/portal?page=myWorkplace ? Or is their a different mechanism to achieve this goal?

Thanks for your help.

    Hello Torsten

This link might help you in this regard

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ep60sp2/helpdata/en/ba/f8b08b10e54640b1dc0b1aed37449b/frameset.htm

Here is a snippet from that page

    Starting with a Navigation Target

The portal can be started directly in the browser with an URL having the following structure:

    <my_portal_server>/sapportal

This home page is specified in the user role and can be adjusted if a certain navigation target is to be called directly.

    <my_portal_server>/sapportal?NavigationTarget=<any_PCD_URL>

Parameter <any_PCD_URL> defines the location of a page in the user role.

You can find the correct value for the page in the Role Editor.

    </snip>

Been searching hard to find out what syntax to append to a URL when trying to navigate to a page from within the portal - not the initial page.

I.e I have a clickable map (using EP5.0 SP5) and I have a URL for each and I want to open a page that exists. If I do the NavigationTarget it tries to reload to framework too - and hangs.

I just want the sytax for opening an existing page without reploading the portal.

    Any help please.

    Pete
