Hi

I am having the same problem listed in the being of this discussion. WAS 6.40 was installed successful

Apr 29, 2004 8:38:33 AM /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) [Deploy Thread] ERROR:

CalculatorEar.ear -> Deployment aborted

Reason:

Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !

When I viewed the process table SDM was enabled. I restarted all processes in the process table and all enabled and running. At this point I tried to deploy the J2EE Application again. I still receive the same error.

Hi,

Go to the Console and then locate Process Table. In the Process Table right-click on SDM and click Enable Process.

Thank you I could deploy it ).

But know I have a new Problem. I dont know how I can adminstrate the J2EE Server - how to log in - or I need a seperate admintool?

Because I want to undeploy (delete) or update the service that I deploy. Or I want to display a list of all services that are deployes in the server.

In the tutorial I dont find something there are a lot of topics but nothing for my problem. Could you help?

Hi Alex,

all these things can be done using the visual administrator, which you should find at <installdrive>\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat

Have a look at <servernode>->Services->Deploy in the visual admin.

Hope that helps.
