Payroll driver time issue

Dear Seniors,

I'm facing a problem with the time taken when we run the payroll ( simulation / Real ). It is taking almost an hour for the 3000 employees. How to improve the performance and reduce the time taken.

1. IT0003 the Earliest Retro Account is stated as 01.01.2009.

2. I tried to give the Forced Retro data in the payroll driver program as latest but it is taking the same time.

3. we are running the payroll in the front end as user prefers to run in front end.

Please suggest me to decrease the time taken for the payroll run.

Your quick suggestions will be helped me a lot.

Hi,

First check as to why you have given earlest dtae to 01.01.2009.

If you want to change It 0003 of all employees to run report RPUTRBK0 using Tcode SA38.

Table TRMAC is the required table for HR data. You will be getting some SM21 logs related to this, by analyzing which, we can get some information on the reason for the issue.

also, running data base optimizer at basis side can help you in this case.

Can any one elaborate how to run the payroll driver in background.

Hi Yubi,

Instead of using f8 (execute) use f9 (execute in background) then trans sm37 to check the background job, its a lot quicker
