ECM planning error: Error determining calculation base of employee

Former Member

Hello,

I get an error in compensation planning i-view: Error determining calculation base of employee XXX on 01.01.XXXX.

This only happens for Chinese employees, other countries seem ok.

The thing is that it's quite hard to work out where this problem comes from.

Employee has a record in IT 8 valid on the relevant date. The compa-ratio shows correct value, also the compensation information page shows this employee's salary.

In compens.planning the percentage field is greyed out, the amount is editable. Also the currency displays ok.

When I try to create IT759 from backend, the calculation base shows correctly.

The CSAL wagetype is configured for China, also the compensation plan payroll data and review item attributes look ok.

I've seen a similar thread on the forum, but the reply was not 100% clear for me.

If you've come across this problem before and know how to handle it, please share.

Kr,

Monika.

Hi Monika,

Were you able to resolve the issue? Would appreciate if you could share the solution. We are facing the same issue, happens only with one wagetype that was configured for IT267 (additional Off-cycle payments).

Thanks,

Jaya

Hi Jaya,

In our case the problem was missing authorizations in MSS role for infotype 267.

For another country problem with payroll periods ending with December 2010.

As far as I remember that was it.

Monika.

Hi Monika,

Thank you so much for your quick response. Truly appreciate it.

In our case, authorization is not an issue and also payroll period is okay. It is the Payment date on IT267, which falls within an year from the date on which we are determining the calculation base for current ECM cycle.

As a work around, when we changed the payment date, the issue got resolved. But need to find a permanent solution for this issue as it's bound to happen next year again.

Thanks again,

Jaya

I would double check that CSAL is set up right and that you have entries in both V_T710ADM04 and V_T710ADM03 as this error is definitely a configuration one.

Hope this helps.
