Send Email when BP Account is created?

Is it possible to send an email when a BP Account is created?

What are the steps involved / sample code / sample blog post about this?

When a user creates an account I need to send an email to several employees. I already know the name of the employees beforehand so this doesn't seem to be that difficult. Can anyone help with this.

Thanks,

Jon

    it's possible. do the steps:

    1. run swe2

    2. create new event:

    - object type: BUS1006

    - event: created

    - receiver type: name of alert if you will use alert

    - receiver call: function module

    - receiver function module: SALRT_CREATE_VIA_EVENT

    - linkage activated: Checked

    3. if you will use alert run ALRTCATDEF to create alert - it's simple task. you can read more info on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/96/f1033c128f4a7de10000000a114084/content.htm

if you want use alert you can prepare also your function to send emails

there are several options. you can also try to use some standard functions for sending mails. there are a few available.

    Regards.

I changed it to use Business PArtner number instead of category and it worked. But I don't like this because now I have to give a strange start condition such as <= 2999999 (this number represents our Account groupings). I would rather not use this type of condition but the other one does not work for some reason. Something tells me this is an SAP bug. Im closing this as answered but not happily answered...
