Hello, I am trying to install ep6 sp2 on a Windows XP machine. After I enter the PCD
host name , dbname and pwd details I am getting the following error.
Any suggestions to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

MS SQL Server version :Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86) Dec 17 2002 14:22:05

Here are the steps for installation I took
Ø Ceated PCD using SAPINST. Also created WCM.
Ø Restarted SAPINST and chose to install Portal platform
Ø Gave a system name as evrb (it was insisting that it be 4 characters). It said that a local group SAP_evrb_localAdmin would be created
Ø Specified location of JDK and SAP cryptographic files.
Ø Clicked next and entered DB information.
Ø Clicked next and the error given below was generated
I have checked the local groups. Only the SAP_EP_localAdmin which I created manually is present and my userid is associated with this group.

Hi,
Windows XP is not supported for EP6 SP2.
But here are 2 tips:
1.Don't install from directory with spaces (like "Program Files")
2.Run the analyzer prerequisite tests before the installation. You can get it from the central installation note.
