Issue in Creating the Asset from SC

Hi,

We are now migrated from SRM5.0 Classic to SRM 7.0 Extended Classic Scenario. We wanted to implement the asset procurement and subsequently maintained all the configuration steps as per the below SAP Help Document.

We maintained asset class in the attributes of the User and have SAP ALL and SAP NEW authorizations including the RFC User also. But while creating the asset by click on the "Create Asset Master" button, we are prompted to fill the 'Account Assignment Description'. Further when we tried to fill the description and proceed, it is getting wiped off and getting the same error.

Could you please provide us the details to create an asset from SRM SC and further do we need to give any asset while creating the new asset as the Asset is mandatory field here.

Hi,

Are you able to create Asset manually in ERP using AS01 T code?

Have you tried creating an Asset in ERP (AS01) and assigning it in SRM SC? Try it.

The once you hit the button Create asset master the Asset must be created in the Back end and the value has to be filled in "Asset" field which is mandatory.

Locate the FM in ERP which creates the Asset (debugging) and see if that FM can create asset and return the value.

Start from here, when ever we click on 'Create Asset Master' button either in SC or PO the FM ' META_CREATE_ASSET' is triggering and in the back end BAPI_FIXEDASSET_CREATE1 creates the asset. The driver is B46_CREATE_ASSET.

I cehcked the document which talks about the creation of asset master in ECC. But I need to know the exact process of creating asset from Create asset Master Button in SRM Shopping Cart.

It would be really great if you can provide the necessary configuration details in ECC ans SRM for creating Assets from Asset class in SRM Shopping Cart.
