update property metadata by java

we are using EP5 SP5.

We have build a java program to upload a document to the KM reposetory. the program is working fine but we can not update an already existing property metadata for the document.

we have build under configuration>KnoledgeManagment>global service> Property MetaData>properties a new property that is relevant for all librarys and would like to update the property while uploading the document.

Does anyone know how to do it/ an example will be very helpfull?

we are thinking about a similar scenario at the moment.

There are some documents in the SDN which describe the concepts of the repository framework very good.

Search for 'repository framework concepts', and you should find a very good documentation for EP60. I hope this is valid for EP5 SP5, too.

    Hope it helps,

    • Hello Helge,

the repository framework API is released on EP6.0 only. However, the scenario in questions might not need these APIs but the generic KM services APIs that are released for EP5.0 SP5 as well (please see the respective JAVA Doc for EP5.0 in the portal development kit PDK).
