MSS package for EP 6.0

Hi,

I'm trying to import MSS package 60.1.1, but

the portal want's *.epa file and the MSS

package includes *.pkg package.

So the import fails, any ideas?

maybe Patch 2 or 3 can help?

Hi,

When importing business packages from the server you can select either a *.pkg file (EP 5.0 content)or an *.epa file to import an EP 6.0 package.

The pre-requisites are:

Copy exported PKG files from an EP 5.0 installation to the import directory of an EP 6.0 installation or Download a business package from the iViewStudio and copy it from the client to the server to the import directory of your EP 6.0 installation. Since the downloaded business package is a ZIP file, you must first unpack it before importing.

Thanks for your advice, the problem was as you said that I tried to import the pkg file from client.

Got the solution. For *.pkg all files need to be put on server. EP60 would accept only .epa from the client. However if you put the files on server then it would accept .pkg file and would allow the import.
