Installation Guide for Gui Machine

Hi,

Is there an installation Guide for the GUI Machine?

I've installed it but during start-up I get the error "No GUIMachine Server was found at specified address". Do I have to restart my portal? Is an entry in some config file incorrect?

Hi Richard:

This happening as there might be some patches on the IE.

The system requirement for the server and client for Visual Composer is IE60 SP1 no patches

Hi Himanshu,

I have IE 6.0.28 SP1 with all the latest updates.

My feeling is that the problem is more on the server side although I can't find any problems in any of the logs.gh I've looked in the IIS and EP logs. I found the detailed installation log for the GUI Machine but there is no indication that there is any problem.

My feeling is the the J2EE Engine isn't being found. My portal works fine. The GUI Machien starts and then at some point returns this error.

Is there anywhere else I can look?

Hi,

You should check the following:

1. If EP5 was ever installed on the server machine remove its ISAPI filters from the website as they interfere with VC server.

2. Check that MSXML 4.0 SP1 is installed on the server machine.

(what version are you using?)
