Reporting in EP 6.0 SP2

Hi

Has anyone tried doing some reporting such as user statistics with API provided by SAP ? I haven't seen any API for monitoring options. Do you think it is possible to write several reports like we do in ABAP by querying R3 tables, in EP, by querying wcm or pcd databases' tables ?
