International company with fiscal month different than calendar month

We as an international company are planning our Go Live in SAP for our Brazil business are trying to decide if the start date should be the first day of the calendar month or the first day of our fiscal month according to our corporate calendar as the days are different.

Example for May 2011 while May 1st is the start of calendar May used for Brazil regulatory reporting, our corporate fiscal May 2011 does not start until May 8th.

So we do need to stop transactions in our legacy system on April 30th and then wait until May 8th to start transactions in SAP?

Our April 2011 dates are closer in that April 1st is the regulatory and the corporate end of March/beginning of April is April 3,but we are not sure we will be through training the end users to make April.

We do not want to go live at the beginning of June as that is a quarter end month that we are required to complete the US SOX compliance reports.

What do other companies do in determining their Go Live date when they have a different corporate fiscal month reporting date structure?
