Unable to Import roles into CMC

Hi -

Environment: 3.1 SP 3 FP 2 (BO and SAP Ikit are on same level) ; Windows 2008 64bit

I have performed all the required steps for SAP Ikit with proper JCO 32 bit files. Everything went well but I am facing below error during role Import from SAP system at CMC. We have installed Data Services on same system, but we are not using DS anymore. Can some help me why Data Services is coming into picture in below message. Thanks!

JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC' JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc [ no sapjcorfc in java.library.path]. java.library.path [C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\bin\jco3\lib32;C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Tomcat 55\bin]

Hi -

Thanks for inputs. I have checked all the SAP notes and everything is in order. But I still do not know why Data Services is coming into picture in above error message . Thanks!

Hi Ingo -

We have installed BOE and BO DS on same Windows 2008 system. But we are not using DS now. If you see below error message it is pointing to Businesinee Objects Data Services path like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\bin\jco3\lib32". Pls. help me in this. Thanks!

JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC' JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc [no sapjcorfc in java.library.path]. java.library.path [C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data Services\bin\jco3\lib32;C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Tomcat 55\bin]

THis is only an enty in your java lib path.

Where exactly did you copy the sapjcorfc.dll and sapjco.jar from the java connector?

Hi,

to me it sounds like you have several version of the Java Connector installed - which then means you need to configure the class path.

take a look at these notes:

1. sap nOTE 1274700 - SAP Role Import error

2. SAP Note 1292144 - JCo error when importing SAP roles.pdf

Hi,

This kind of error mainly come across due to miss-match in the versions of different Java Connector files.

So, make sure that you have the proper same Java connector files versions installed and copied in the proper location.
