SWN_SELSEN in production sending all old notifications / workitems abruptly

This has been an embarrasing issue for me. We went live with extended notification for workflow last week.

Before that we were using RSWUWFML2 which worked fine.

The SWN_SELSEN works fine but in the middle of the day, it pulls up all the old notifications and sends to SOST and

we were pushing out all these emails to the users and they were complaining.

I have done the SWNCONFIG to run only ALL_DELTA. And I don't have ALL_FULL set up.

Everything seems to be correct. The SWN_TIMESTAMPS table is also getting updated but

I don't know why once a day, all the old notifications are being sent to SOST.

There is no other background job that is running to cause this issue.

Please help with this issue as it is a production issue. Thanks.

Hello,

Extended Notifications does exactly what you tell it to do.

Are these messages the same format, i.e. are you sure they're coming from Extended Notifications?

Look in SLG1, it will show you the full log for each SWN_SELSEN run, see if you can find the one that sends all of the notifications.

My guess is that there is another job running. Look again in that timeframe.

Otherwise, please summarise your SWNCONFIG settings.

There was a reminder days setting and it had 3 days in it....so every 3 days i got all the notifications

so once I removed the 3 days...it was okay !
