Hi Kaimuzhi.....

Just for the sake of solving this issue, try updating its exchange rate for the current period as its indicating the error.

Login into SAP and just update exchange rate from Administration--> Exchange Rate.......

And then try upgrading......

But take DB backup first....

Hope this will solve the problem.....

i have tried to populate exchange rates to all periods already, the upgrade was still failed. i am wondering whether there is other reasons to make it failed.

Sometimes the problem might be because of Firewall settings or due to Antivirus run.

Or sometimes problem might be because of Administrative rights.

I suggest you to please check one of the above possible ways....

Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but have you ever solved this problem? I'm sitting with exactly the same thing trying to go to 8.8 PL19.

I'm stuck now with this problem and can't upgrade the database at all. I've populated the exchange rates for all currencies, but yet the problem persists.

I have logged a message to SAP, but i'm trying to get this done before tomorrow.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

you can log a message to sap support to solve this issue. Actually, in the upgrading process, there is a upgrade check steps. This step will fix any errors or inconsistency of old db before upgrade it.

If there is a problem, there will be sap note explaining the problem and its solution. if you have no sap note info, the upgrade can't be completed.

Hi,

Welcome you to the forum.

Have you read all the documentation?

You need to upgrade to PL15 first. Not directly upgrade to PL16.

Thanks,

Gordon
