Valuation class change

Hi SAP Gurus,

The requirement is to change the valuation class for the given material. The current status of the material is given below,

- Movement types 311, 201, 501, 502 are made for this material in this week

- There are no open PO's for this material

I get the below error when changing the Valn class in MM02, Please help in providing the solution.

The valuation class cannot be changed, choose 'Display error' (Message no. M3368)

Diagnosis:

You wanted to change the valuation class. However, this is not possible because one or more of the following already exist for the material:

Valuated stocks in the current period or in the previous period

Open purchase orders or delivery schedule lines

Production orders for which a goods movement has already taken place

Please check the Display Error tab which will come after changing the valuation class at the left corner...it will explain you why the system is not letting you to change the valuation class.

Hi,

Movement types 311, 201, 501, 502 are made for this material in this week & now there is no stock today. Whether these movement has any problem in changing Valuation class?

Have you checked the Display Error tab?It is self-explanatory of the reasons for which you are not able to change the valuation class

Hi,

To change the valuation class ---please ensure that,

1) There should no Valuated stocks in the current period or in the previous period.

2) There should be NO Open purchase orders may be there.

3) There should be No Production orders for which a goods movement has already taken place.

4)Also check whether the material is assigned in any BOM , if there remove it and try to change it .....

HI

if you want change the valuation class clear all following points.

1. clear all open purchase orders

2. clear all open purchase requiations

3. production orders and reservations.

if above all clear you can change the valuation class.
