Hi,

Choose Tools --> Customization Tools --> User Defined Fields Management

UDFs can be added to most business objects including BP, Item Master, Banking and Marketing Documents

On going through above mentioned path, user defined fields window will get opened. In the left pane, You will find business objects listed such as

Master Data, Marketing Documents, Payment, Production etc.

Select the appropriate category. In your case it would be payments.

Under that you will get options like Title & Rows to enable you to add UDF at header and row / line level respectively.

Then in the bottom right corner you will find two command buttons "Add" , "Update". By pressing "Add" button you will enter into a field definition window and define the field attributes lile data type, length, valid values etc.

I am unable to give you a step by step guided tour along with a screen shot as our SAP server is down due to some technical issues. I am very sorry for this. Still tried to give you at least an idea to start.

kindly refer this link for detailed guidance.

Hi Kedalane,

You are right. In earlier version of SAP under banking option there was a provision of adding a UDF at row level. We are on SAP B1 9.2 PL 05.

+ Hashit, on which version of SAP you guys are ?

I check in 9.2 pl 5, We can create UDF at row level in incoming payment just like any version of sap.
