PI Server- sizing and Hardware detail

I have requirement to install PI on windows 2003server.. from sizing perspective - 10 concurrent user and 500 message per day, peak would be 200 messages ..

what kind of hardware config i can go for?

I am thinking about Intel E5540 2.5 GHz, 6GB memory..

Any suggestion ,pls?

Hi;

I would suggest you not to plan this way. it is not as simple as you think.

You should plan for the next 3 to 5 yrs of data growth, message flow Inbound and outbound.

If you have a service contract with SAP, please talk to the experts.

this is for dev env.. and we can do the sizing if they are willing to rollout.. and more over quicksizing does say only about the memory, SAP do not suggest about what kind of processory we can use etc, correct?

so for dev env, is this processor would be robust enough?

Hello Gopal,

I think processing side it looks OK to me for DEV server and I will increase little more on memory side for some unit testing. Definitely you need to go for quick sizer with future growth.

I suggest you to follow service.sap.com/quicksizing for correct HW sizing.
