To repost the BI query values back to the BI system - Using BI - IP?

Hi All

I am a BI Consultant, new to BI - IP and need your expert guidance.

Scenario:

Move data from R/3 to SAP BI and then report using the BO tools (Crystal Reports, Xcelsius, and Web I).

We have to create a simple report with 6 fields, now the user wants to Edit/Change the existing values in the report, and the changed values has to be stored back to the BI system.

Question

1) Is there a way to repost these new changed values back to the BI system using BI-Integrated Planning ?

Note: the requirement is basically for planning purpose only , but the planned data needs to be stored in the BI system.

Any ideas how this can be done,Plz let me know!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Archie.

    Hi Archie,

For yoru requirement, you need to have a simple planning report with a "Save" button, which saves the values that has been changed by the user to the backend real-time cube.

You can also have characteristic relationship to check the data entered by the user.

Please go through the following link on planning functions for more clarity on planning cuncitons and charcteristic relationship,
